BMW delays launch of X1 in USA

BMW X1 has been a escapee success for BMW in India and it also overtook the Audi Q5 to become Europe’s top selling premium SUV. Its demand is so far above the ground that the company has delay the crossover’s U.S. launch, according some reports.

In an interview with Car and Driver, BMW orator Tom Plucinsky said the X1 won’t be coming “until fall of 2011 at the absolute earliest.” This is because the Leipzig factory can barely keep up European orders for BMW X1 and a USA launch simply isn’t feasible at the moment.
