Special Edition Fiat 500 for €500,000

Fenice Milano received a commission from a rich Chinese capitalist to construct a special edition of the custom Fiat 500. The new, exclusive form was named “La Dolce Vita Gold and Diamonds 200hp” and costs almost €500,000. The starting tip for this event is the 500C Abarth, tuned by Romeo Ferraris to 200hp. Inside, the redesigned steering wheel has the external ring made of the teak and the interior one made in leather with controls in 24K gold, moreover the original carpet floor was replaced with teak. The console is embellished with a gold framed appliance panel and teak and 24K gold inserts dashboard, whose profiles are handshaped by Fenice Milano’s artisans. The last main innovation provided in “La Dolce Vita Gold and Diamonds 200hp” is in fact the placing in central location of an Ipad ultimate version made in 24k gold and diamonds by English designer Stuart Hughes, specialized in developing technological applications in valuable materials. Especially designed for those who want to make the most of innovation and exclusivity in the onboard control tools, the space for the Ipad provides a whole interaction of the device with the car, which is fixed with a GPS navigation system, a last generation hi-fi that can handle MP3 and all Ipod features and also an internet link run by wi-fi and a appropriate sim card. The golden pearlescent white painting contains 24K gold particles. The electric hood is provided in technical natural painted fabric with gold thread finished. The redesigned seating are also sewn with the precious material, the inner elements are full grain leather and natural-colored Alcantara with handmade on sight stitching.
Fiat to roll-out new avatar of Palio hatchback in India
We have received a formal answer from Fiat India on the editorial 'Fiat to roll-out new avatar of Palio hatchback in India?' published on Jan 13. The corporation has clarified that the Palio will not be renamed. The party also confirmed that it is working on a small car plan for India, which is expected to be introduced to the market by 2012.
FIAT dreams of a small car for India

The golden rule for a manufacturer to sustain in the Indian auto market is to target the middle class with a small car. Even though the small car segment is flooded with numerous city hatchbacks for the masses, it hasn’t deterred companies like FIAT taking a plunge into this segment. Thats right, FIAT India has plans of a small car for the country. Fiat top boss, Mr. Rajeev Kapoor announced plans about a car that will rival the Maruti Alto by 2012. “It will be an all-new car, nothing to do with any of our other models and will be priced aggressively. It will compete with the Alto and will have a one-litre engine. The new car will be an India-specific one, made in India, made for India, keeping in mind the country’s unique terrain and temperatures. Our R&D team is working day in and day out to develop the car that meets consumers’ needs in the best manner. The small car market in India is blazing and there is intense competition. The entry level car space excites us”
Fiat India Plans New Strategy, May Bring A Small Car
Living with a dubious tag of only automobile company in India with not so encouraging sales numbers is quite embarrassing for Italian giant Fiat Auto. The Fiat had target of selling fifty-thousand cars this 2010 which is unlikely to be achieved now. Fiat India has planned to sell 1,40,000 units which will translate into 5 percent share of of India’s automobile market. So, what it will do to achieve that figures? The Fiat is now readying a new retail strategy with partner Tata Motors. It is also planning a model below the range of Fiat Punto in small car segment which is a sure shot way to increase your sales in the country.
“The small car will come with a new technology in the hatchback segment. The small wagon from Fiat will not be a look alike of Fiat Uno which has been launched in the global auto market recently. This new small car design has been widely studied from the various car models from Fiat which are already established in other auto markets,” said Mr Rajeev Kapoor, Managing Director, Fiat India. The small car will be priced competitively in the Indian market. The new small car will be pitched against Maruti Alto and have a one litre engine. He added that the small car from Fiat will truly be a Indian car as it will be crafted as per the needs and conditions of the sub continent.
Fiat India’s new retail plan:- Fiat would like to convey its India vision to the customer. This is particularly relevant when some of its earlier offerings such as the Uno and Fiat Palio, which promised plenty, lost their way after dramatic starts. The Uno, in fact, was touted as the 1st challenger to the Maruti Zen way back in 1995-96. It had everything going in its favour, including a diesel engine, but a lockout at the Mumbai plant resulted in production schedules going haywire. This was a big setback for a car that had garnered nearly 3 lakh bookings at that time. Since that time, Fiat India has decided to start on a fresh note with Tata Motors. India is just too important a market to ignore and from the company’s point of view, it makes more sense to take one thing at a time.

Other most popular models of Fiat are: Linea, Linea T-Jet, Palio Stile and Punto 1.2. Renowned artists, as well as two student art teams from the University of Miami, use the new Fiat 500 as both inspiration and canvas. Christian Balzano takes his model inspiration to the entire body of the Fiat 500.

Fiat Brand Stores For Indian Customers
Fiat and Tata Motors have an association to sell Fiat cars in India. However, Fiat has realised over past 3 years that its sales are not picking up even after having attractive models like Punto and Linea. Now Fiat is planning to set up shop apart from its partnership with Tata Motors and open its own brand stores in India.
There is no official word about the new Fiat brand stores coming to India and the company has denied any such developments on records. However, Rajeev Kapoor, MD of Fiat’s India operations had earlier stated to press that ““something that will be done through the exclusive brand stores,” when questioned about Fiat’s strategy to boost sales. “We want the customers to experience what the Fiat brand stands for as we feel that the focus at the dealerships is more on selling cars than on brand promotion,” said Kapoor.
