Green Light for Production of Lamborghini Estoque

The Lamborghini Estoque has received the support from Audi and will therefore lead to production. Another confirmation is that it will be based on the forthcoming Audi A9. The Italians’ fast, edgy Estoque is back on the cards after senior executives at owner Audi threw their hold behind the four-door supercar last week. Lamborghini first open the model at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, before putting it on the back burner. But now, senior sources at the German marque have declared that the Lamborghini Estoque is exactly what Lamborghini needs to more than double sales, and benefit economic independence. But Audi has done more than easily comment on the Estoque. By unofficially confirming policy for its individual A9 limo-coupé, it has also given Lamborghini the complete manufacture chassis.
Lamborghinis new V12 engine
We're sure everyone in the world who has even a remote inkling of passion for automobiles was heartbroken to hear Lamborghini announce the end of the venerable Murcielago last year. This feeling was, of course, short lived when rumors and soon spy shots of a replacement bull to take up the reigns as the Italian supercar maker's flagship model began circulating the interwebs. While the titillating curves of what will surely grace bedroom posters of the next generation of car lovers haven't been revealed as of yet, the monstrous all-new V12 engine that will form the heart of this beast has just been revealed for all to behold. But this does mean that the engine that served diligently in the Murcielago is on its way out as well and it really doesn't seem fair to talk about the new motor before saying a few words about the one it'll be replacing.
The 6.5-litre V12 engine which was in the Murcielago has its roots in the 3.5-litre 60-degree V12 that originally debuted in Lamborghini first car, the 350GT. Surprisingly, apart from a change from carburetion to fuel-injection and in increase in cubic capacity, there have been few changes in the engine block in its 47 year history. In fact, this wholly remarkable engine has powered all the baddest bulls from Sant'Agata Bolognese - the Miura, the Countach, the Diablo and the Murcielago, not to mention one the most outrageous SUVs ever made, the Lamborghini LM002. So it's obvious the new engine has much to live up to. But the mad scientists at Lamborghini are as mad as they get and they have dipped deep into the cauldron of cutting edge technology to ensure that this new V12 makes as big a name for itself as the old one. The result is a light-weight 6.5-litre V12 engine cast entirely, block and heads, out of an aluminium-silicon alloy that weighs a scant 235kg and puts out a mind-numbing 700 horsepower and an equally unbelievable 690Nm of torque.

A short stroke layout ensures that this new V12 revs extremely high and makes for very low friction inside the cylinders, which is assisted by a dry sump oil system for improved lubrication. The highly complex intake system with its four individual throttle valves endows the engine with an extremely well-rounded torque curve and outstanding pulling power across the rev range. And as with every car made by the company, the exhaust system has been designed to deliver that unmistakable Lamborghini sound, right from the ominous V12 rumble at low revs to the jet-fighter roar when the engine is spinning close to the limiter.
But what is more remarkable about this new engine is the brand new ISR, or Independent Shifting Rod, transmission. Other Lamborghini cars in India are Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2, Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder etc. Unlike the dual clutch transmissions in other contemporary supercars, the ISR is actually a manual gearbox designed with robotic gear changes. With two shift rods, one of them can already be engaging the next gear while the first is moving out of the previous. This makes for lightening quick gear changes, which the brass at Lamborghini assure are 50-percent faster than a dual clutch transmission. To top it off, it's significantly less complicated than a dual clutch system and much lighter as well, tipping the scales at just 79kg. While a new engine from the Bolognese Raging Bull is certainly a very exciting prospect, we can't wait to see it plonked into the Murcielago's successor. And this being the first all-new V12 engine from Lamborghini in almost half a century, we can't help imagine the car it'll power will be something rather special too.
Lamborghini Sesto Elemento could be yours for just 2,000,000 Euros

One of the highlights of the 2010 Paris motor show was the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept. Originally, the new Lambo was now started as a plan exercise but, a few months later Lamborghini hinted at putting it into production. No doubt, the Sesto Elemento is one of the most attractive cars of 2010, of course if Lamborghini bothers to make it in the first place. Lambo’s Sant’ Agata factory might be close up to rolling out the first Sesto Elemento limited edition sports car. A German dealership has already listed the auto on its website. Auto Salon Singen has the Sesto Elemento on sale sporting a ticket of €2,000,000 ($2.63M). So, if you are super-wealthy and aren’t sure of what to do with all the cash, this might be a worthy proposition.

Lambo Update: 50 Aventadors Ordered in Singapore Alone
Even before its launch the Lamborghini new Aventador has managed to generate quite a lot of interest among the wealthy few of the world. The world has yet to see for themselves how the actual car looks like and until a few days back no one even had a damn clue about the powertrain that would go into the Lamborghini Aventador. What has surfaced up till now are a few images of disguised test mules but that was probably enough to fuel interest among some fifty odd millionaires from the small island nation of Singapore.
Fifty of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4′s will soon ply the streets of Singapore. The Lamborghini cars factory has already started getting calls from individuals wanting to expand their million dollar garages. This new bull is not cheap at SGD $1.5 million or about $1.14 million.

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Photo On Facebook
In this world of digital evolution, anything is possible. A spyshot of Lamborghini Murcielago replacement has appeared on world’s no. 1 socail networking website, Facebook. The spyshot of the supercar which in all possibility be called Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, has been uploaded by Lamborghini Club of Los Angeles on Facebook profile. While the image is not up to the mark, it’s enough to imagine what the supercar will look like. The Aventador’s bulging front fender dominates the picture, but it would be impossible to miss the air intake behind the driver’s door—it’s big enough to kick a football through. That intake will be gulping air for the all-new 6.5-liter V-12 and possibly cooling the brakes, too. Expect the latter to be huge,
as it will take serious stoppers to rein in the Aventador’s 700 hp. The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 will have a carbon-fiber monocoque, similar in theory if not execution to that of the Sesto Elemento concept, meaning it should be remarkably lightweight. Add the trick, single-clutch transmission that the company says will move faster than any dual-clutch unit, and it seems like the Aventador will be as good as any other Lambo car.
The Italian Raging Bull maker Lamborghini is all set to make the 4 door Estoque saloon!
Estoque, the name of the idea car that stole the thunder at the motor shows 3 years ago is now going to be produced by the makers of Italian thoroughbred raging bulls, Lamborghini. They say no go to an SUV, but sure go to a 4 door saloon. Lamborghini Estoque boss, Stephan Winkelmann says that the concept car will soon be on the production line as the firm’s third model, after Gallardo, and the soon going-to-be launched Aventador further denying producing an SUV. The Estoque concept will have all-wheel drive, 5.2-liter V10 engine which generates maximum power of 640 Bhp at 8000 rpm with maximum torque of 660 Nm at 6000 rpm with an estimated top speed of more than 190 mph. Swift and hairy, just like good ‘ol Lambos have always been.

Amazingly, the Estoque will have to share the underpinning of a VW car!! Now that’s mixing the automotive royalty with the hoi polloi but that also is a reflection of the strong times we live in. It also will have parts from the owner company Audi as well as Bentley. Since a whole new platform design is too much of a pain and exorbitantly expensive, Lamborghini has had to restrict the ambitions of designing the car from scratch. But then again, Lamborghini wants to make sure that this car will have the same sharp elegance and character as other Raging Bull designs as this car will compete against the Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide, Bentley, Continental GT and Maserati Quattroporte. And that is a hallowed company where cost cutting isn’t merely frowned upon but is definitely suicidal for the brand.

First hybrid Lamborghini on the road by 2015
Lamborghini is working on a hybrid and it will hit the roads by 2015. The news comes from a recent interview with the German-language Automobilewoche, during which Winkelmann said he could easily imagine a small electric motor joining the cacophony of 10- and 12-cylinder engines for which the brand is famous.
Rather than going totally green, however, such hybrids would be serve more as environmental mitigators - improving fuel efficiency in urban areas where emissions are worst, but getting out of the way when it's time to hit the track or back country.
