Maruti Suzuki Launches SX4 Diesel in India

Maruti India has unleashed SX4 in Diesel avatar. Maruti SX4 Diesel will contend with the likes of Volkswagen Vento, Fiat Linea Diesel & Tata Indigo Manza. Maruti SX4 Diesel uses Fiat 90 bhp, 1300 Multi-jet diesel unit, which powers the Fiat Linea & the refreshed Tata Manza. While the Maruti SX4 hatchback in Europion uses Fiat's 1900 diesel engines, for Indian market, 1300 Multijet was considered more practical option as it is fundamentally the similar base engine as one in the Maruti Dzire & Maruti Swift however with Variable Geometry Turbo. Costs of the Maruti SX4 Diesel are Rupees 7.74 Lakhs for VDi & Rs 8.62 Lakhs for peak of the line ZDi model while the Vento begins at Rs 7.99 Lakhs for the Trendline model & Rs 9.23 Lakhs for the Highline Variant. Fiat Linea is cost at Rupees 7.40 Lakhs for the base active variant while the uppermost of line Emotion Pack is cost at Rs 8.71 Lakhs. All prices off road Delhi.

Maruti Faces By 18 percent Loss For Quater three

The conclusion of the 2010 calendar last year for Maruti India is not a good one during the quater 3 when its gross profit faced a fall down by 18 percent. This came in spite of its supremacy in the automobile marketplace & the increased input costs. Extra factors which brought this ruin include fluctuated unstinted royalty payment and foreign exchange rates. With these problems, Maruti Suzuki posted a fall of 17.80 percent in the gross profit for the period that mentioned in the reports. Maruti Suzuki Launches Kizashi

Market leader Maruti Suzuki India today launched its luxury sedan Kizashi. The car would be available in 2 variants: the manual variant will cost Rs. 16.5 lakh and the automatic version has been priced higher at Rs. 17.5 lakh (ex-showroom) in Delhi. There was a lot of expectation over the pricing of the car since Maruti will import the Kizashi from parent Suzuki's facility in Japan. Maruti Kizashi is powered by a 2400cc litre petrol engine that will churn out 185 bhp of power. Kizashi will compete with Toyota Camry and Honda Accord at the upper end and Honda Civic, Volkswagen Jetta and Toyota Corolla at the lower end. These vehicles are priced between Rs. 12 to 20 lakh.

   


As per industry estimates, the size of the luxury car segment in the country is over 55,000 units per year. Maruti currently commands nearly 50% of the total Indian car market which was at 1.87 million units in 2010. Maruti India has been trying to get into the bigger car segment for some time now. Its 1st attempt with Baleno did not meet with much success but the company was able to make a mark with the mid-sized sedan Maruti SX4 in 2007.

Maruti to Launch Diesel SX4 in February


Maruti Suzuki India is scheduling to launch the diesel alternative of SX4 in India next month. The diesel variant will also be facelifted with few cosmetic changes inside out, which was also exhibited by Suzuki in China. The Maruti SX4 Diesel will be motorized by the same 90 PS diesel engine which propels the Linea and the Manza. Unlike the permanent geometry turbo on the Swift DDiS, the SX4 diesel will introduce the variable geometry version which not only offers more power, but delivers it more linearly. The business is scheduling to price the diesel alternative of the SX4 aggressively, which has not been doing too well due to the lack of a diesel option. The SX4 is at present available only with a petrol engine, which isn’t quite as fuel effective as some of its other counterparts.

Increase in Tax Payment by Maruti Suzuki India

Maruti Suzuki has witnessed an increase of 20.34 percent to rupees 5,461.3 crore in its tax payment to the government in financial year 2009-10, as compared to the tax payment in past financial year. Maruti Suzuki company said in its Sustainability Information for the last fiscal, "Driven by large volume growth during the year 2009-10, the company's gross contribution to the National Exchequer (via duties and taxes) stood at Rs 5,461.3 crore in 2009-10, as compared to Rs 4,538.2 crore in 2008-09." According to Mr. S Nakanishi, Managing Director at MSI, "The year 2009-10 was a landmark year for Maruti Suzuki and the Indian commuter vehicle industry.



Maruti Suzuki became the first company in India to sell and make a million cars in a year." The net sales of the company during the financial jumped by 42.2 percent to Rs 28,958.5 crore as compared to previous monetary year. The increment after tax also surged by 105% cent to Rs 2,497.6 crore during this period. MSI's expenditure towards employees' wages surged by 15.8 per cent to Rs 545.6 crore in the fiscal from Rs 471.1 crore in 2008-09.

Maruti Cars To Get More Expensive

The Indian auto giant Maruti Suzuki has rised the price of its cars by up to Rs 8,000 across all portfolio vehicles. However, the price of company’s volume driving tiny car Alto K10 has been kept unchanged. The vehicle maker has blamed the constantly rising input material cost for the hike. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) managing executive officer (Marketing and Sales) Mayank Pareek told that they did increase the prices on January 17 ranging between 0.5%and 2.2%. This translates into a price hike in the range of s 1,000 and Rs 8,000 across different collection models of the company (except Alto K10).



Earlier very last month, MSI had announced that it would increase the price of its cars in India during January due to a steep rise in the necessary input materials including steel, copper and natural rubber. The company however hadn’t open the size of this hike at that time. While elaborating the sharp growth in the price of essential input materials, Mr. Pareek had declared in December last year, "The price of natural rubber, which used to be Rs 100 per kg, has gone up to Rs 200 per kg. Copper cost has increased by 12-15 % and steel has also seen a similar increase.”

Maruti Suzuki to Open New Showrooms


India’s largest automobile company is now having make-over of sort. Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going upmarket for its premium sedan Kizashi model. The Maruti Kizashi, to be launched on February 2, 2011 across the country, is the costliest auto from the company for Indian market. So, the corporation is targeting upmarket cash-rich clients by opening some far above the ground class showrooms in the metros of the country. Last year saw Maruti Suzuki’s market share dropped below 50% for the first time in history. The company has decided to make some radical changes in its distribution plan due to strong competition from newly launched international cars. According some news Maruti Suzuki has spent Rs 50-60 crore each to purchase properties in posh locations like Lokhandwala in Mumbai’s Andheri and Indraprastha in middle Delhi. As we know, places like Lokhandwala has become shopping paradise for rich individuals lately with large malls and lavishness car showrooms. The company, which plans to buy another 12 properties across metros, built plush outlets in five of its personal properties and recently handed them to maruti dealers, departing from its traditional model of outsourcing distribution to private franchisees.

Maruti hike price of its cars next week

Maruti Suzuki which is the largest auto maker in the country, said on Thursday that it will hike the price of its cars in India from next week. The corporation has blamed higher input costs for this price hike. It is to be mentioned here that Maruti has already increased the price of its collection cars twice in the current financial year. The domestic car giant is struggling with shrinking margins due to a continuous rise in key row materials such as natural rubber, steel and aluminum. What has made the situation even more hard for the company is forcing in the value of the yen against the U.S. dollar, making imported parts costlier for the auto maker.



According to newest statement given to the reporters, Maruti's managing officer for sales and marketing, Mayank Pareek said, "We will have to increase it (car prices) now." He however has not revealed the dimension of this prospective price hike. The company will increase the monthly production of its highest selling small car Alto to 40,000 vehicles from 32,000 vehicles, currently. "We have asked vendors to ramp up supplies for the Alto as we envisage a major jump in volumes," another Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. official said.

Maruti Suzuki to Launch Kizashi this month

Maruti Suzuki India will be introducing its luxury sedan car, the Kizashi into the Indian marketplace. It had unveiled the model at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010 and a year later we will see the vehicle on the Indian roads. Kizashi meaning ‘omen’, ’sign’, or ‘warning’ will certainly begin the alarm bells buzzing for the other car manufacturers in the country.



The Kizashi will be the 5th sedan carin the Indian market after Esteem, Swift Dzire, SX4 and Baleno. It will be powered by 2.4L petrol engine which will roil out 185 bhp and will feature six-speed manual transmission, the American version gets the option of CVT as well. The luxury sedan car will be priced at around 18 lakh. The Indian customer has always looked forward to a Maruti Suzuki car and we sure are geared up for this one.

Maruti to produce 1.2million cars this year

Demand for Maruti cars is increasing day by day and Maruti Suzuki India is planning to manufacture 12 Lakh cars this year.  Maruti Suzuki's Managing Executive I V Rao said - “We are looking at manufacture 12 Lakh vehicles in this financial year, as compared to 10 Lakh units produced last financial year, From the last 5 months we are now manufacturing one lakh vehicles per month". We are going to increase manufacturing capacity when the second plant at Manesar commences next fiscal, he said.



Maruti is also setting up test track and plans to hire 1000 plus engineers to produce its future vehicles completely in India.
