Rolls Royce Aims to Sell 70 Cars by 2013
Rolls Royce states that it targets to sell seventy or more vehicles through the incoming years. Every vehicle being hand built to premium of human capability, Rolls Royce Cars was capable to sell twelve units to Indian users in 2007. BMW owned company is currently developing & testing a series of new cars that will be introduced in market in the forthcoming years. Rolls Royce’s new vehicle RR4, a lesser ultra-luxury sedan which in terms of price & size is lower than its present Rolls Royce Phantom variant, will be unleashed in Indian market in next 2 years. Apart from that, the RR will also initiate a Phantom coupe with differ powertrain option later on 2011. The platforms are the part of expansion exercise Rolls Royce cars has undertaken to amplify its market.
Rolls-Royce director (marketing & sales) Graema Grieve alleged: "The new family won't compete with Phantom, but Phantom Sedan will be the 2nd most luxurious in the world. We have seen a gigantic rise in number of ultrahigh net worth individuals in Indian market that make the market very imposing for us. As an exclusive brand, we're looking at the peak end of the modified car market & we anticipate India to come out as the biggest market in Asia-Pacific region in next 5 years."

Here’s another endorsement of the hard Indian economy growth story. Super luxury car producer Rolls Royce posted record sales of 2711 cars in 2010, and India along with some other markets in the Asia-Pacific region were the largest contributors. The new read billionaire entrepreneurs also ensured that the Goodwood based company had a record year in sales in India too. Rolls Royce found over 70 clients in India, up from 10 in 2009. Rolls has a dealership each in state of Mumbai and New Delhi. Rolls Royce Motor Cars global sales of 2711 cars is more than double of its earlier best of 1212 cars in 2008 and a 171 percent jump over 1002 cars in 2009. The company’s chief Torsten says “Rolls-Royce has further extended its status at the pinnacle of the best luxury automotive market and has demonstrated a clear capability in the management of this unique ultra-luxury brand.

We begin 2011 with a sustainable business model, a flexible workforce and huge confidence in the future success of our company”. Other four most popular Rolls Royce cars are Ghost, Phantom, Coupe and Drophead Coupe. The company says that demand for the company’s newest model, Ghost, has been exceptional. Around 80 per cent of Ghost consumers have never previously owned a Rolls-Royce. All regions demonstrated significant sales progress, with particularly strong results seen in Asia Pacific, the U.S and the Middle East. The United States remained the biggest separate market for Rolls-Royce in 2010, followed by China and the UK. However, strong progress was also seen in markets like India, Korea, Japan and Singapore, according to the company. Currently Asia-Pacific tops in the catalog of regions in Rolls Royce Motor’s sales chart. The other countries are North America, Middle East, UK, and Mainland Europe and South Africa.
Rolls-Royce announces an exclusive collection of bespoke Phantoms
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is celebrating the centenary of the Spirit of Ecstasy in 2011 with an exclusive Collection of bespoke Phantom models. Called the Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection, one hundred cars will be delivered to customers bearing a suite of features inspired by the famous flying lady, complemented by a variety of exclusive external colours, wood veneers and leather options. “These beautiful models follow the finest customs of Rolls-Royce in their luxury, craftsmanship and attention to detail,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “They encapsulate the essence of the Spirit of Ecstasy legend, presenting owners with a range of exclusive bespoke options available only in this centenary year.”Cast in silver, each Spirit of Ecstasy model will feature a base complete with black-gold plated bezel bearing the commemorative inscription Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary – 2011, a star repeated on the cover plate when the mascot is lowered. The design is finished with a set of six hallmarks, two of which have been designed specifically for Rolls-Royce. A new badge has been developed to authenticate the Collection and establish its place in Rolls-Royce history.

Located beneath the Spirit of Ecstasy, on the trunk lid as well as on front side panels, the badge reverses conventional design, with white enamel RR detail set on a black chrome background. Inside the cars, fine detailing abounds. Collection cars come with an analogue clock fitted in the fascia panel, the outer bezel of which is crafted from Britannia Silver, incorporating the unique set of six hallmarks. The backlit face presents an inner ring of silver incorporating the centenary inscription. Instrument dials complement the clock design, carrying further fine detailing. Satin spun metal dials, centered with polished RR monograms are further enriched with polished chaplets and black numerals. All are meticulously hand-crafted, examples of the attention to detail for which all Rolls-Royce hand-built models are renowned. Further affirmation of the Collection’s place in history comes from the lid of the centre console. Other available model of Rolls- Royce are Rolls Royce Ghost, Rolls Royce Phantom, Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe and Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe etc. This reveals a discreet, solid Britannia Silver commemorative plaque engraved with the inscription Spirit of Ecstasy – One of One Hundred. Four exterior colour options are offered, all exclusive to Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection cars. These start with Rhapsody Black, a black metallic incorporating a delicate gold sparkle and Maiden Blue a deep blue metallic highlighted with a silver sparkle. Ethereal White Pearl comes with a special pearlescent finish while Wildflower completes the bespoke paint offering, presenting a rich blend of red and brown colour with a fine sparkle. Each exterior colour can be ordered with a selection of sumptuous leather and interior contrast schemes while hand crafted banding of Britannia Silver will be delicately inset into the customer’s chosen veneer.
Rolls-Royce sales more than double.
Rolls-Royce sales more than doubled in the first 10 months of 2010 to over 2000 units following the launch of the Ghost, says boss Torsten Muller-Otovos. The Rolls Royce Ghost now accounts for around three-quarters of Rolls’ sales. Eighty per cent of its buyers are new to the marque and, on average; they are 10 years younger than Phantom buyers.

Sales have grown by 360 per cent in the US and 250 per cent in Europe. Asia-Pacific sales have grown-up eight-fold, while UK sales are up 50 per cent. Globally, the Rolls-Royce range consists of four models – Rolls Royce Phantom, Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé, Phantom Coupé and Ghost – but more than 100 clients have bought an example of all four cars. The firm previous week confirmed plans to Autocar to spread out the Ghost range by adding three new variants over the next three years: long-wheelbase, Drophead coupe and coupe versions.
