Suzuki India to Launch GW250 in April 2011

Suzuki bikes manufacturers are going to unveil the Suzuki GW250 in indian market in upcoming days. The bike with muscular line and an imposing stance will have street presence to dominate the Kawasaki Ninja and Honda CBR250R. On the front performance, the Suzuki GW250 will come furnished with a 250cc four stroke liquid cooled engine which generates maximum power of 26 bhp 8500 rpm and 24Nm of utmost torque at 7000 rpm while the power of Suzuki GW250 is in the league of  CBR250R, the maximum torque is less.

The weight of the Suzuki GW250 is more than the Honda CBR250 with those chunky side panels. No official announcement has been made by the company but we anticipate competitive pricing from Suzuki Bikes, and expect that the GW250 should retail with a worth tag of 1.6 to 1.8 lakh rupees. The Suzuki GW250 would be a worthy challenger to the Honda bikes 250 at that cost point.

Low Sales of Kizashi in China

Suzuki Kizashi will be launched in India in a few days time, February second, to be exact. The car looks impressive and so is the pricing which is quite striking for a car that will rival the Honda Civic, Skoda Laura and Toyota Corolla Altis in India. Maruti in India is known for value purchase products and has been profitable with this tried and tested strategy. However, our fellows don’t seem to fancy this new Suzuki sedan. Sales of the vehicle have been low in China. Suzuki has sold now 15000 vehicles of the car.

Suzuki is certainly struggling for profits with this product which is manifest from the discounts the company has already started offering. Thanks to incentives offered by Suzuki, prices for the Kizashi can fall by as much as $28,877 to $22,791. What receiving the Kizashi gets in India will be clear in a few days time. We think that the car will do well, given the track record of Maruti in the country. Apart from this, the car itself is great package and comfortsis and well kitted out with the latest toys. Price will definitely play a essential role in Kizashi’s success in the Indian car market.

Suzuki to supply small cars for Mitsubishi Motors

Suzuki will offer 800 Solio vehicles to Mitsubishi Motors a month, under an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) deal, they said in a joint statement. "The OEM supply is predictable to generate new customers" for Mitsubishi by strengthening its product lineup, the statement said. With the deal, "Suzuki aims to improve its productivity and lower production and development costs through further rising economies of scale", it said. Compact vehicles have gained popularity in Japan because of their fuel efficiency and lesser size allowing cool driving through narrow Japanese roads. The Suzuki-Mitsubishi deal is the newest in a series of tie-ups and alliances among major Japanese automakers as they struggle to stay profitable in a slumping domestic market with a falling population.

Earlier this month, Mitsubishi and Nissan Motor announced an expanded partnership agreement, with a particular focus on cooperation on mini-vehicles in Japan and compact automobiles in the global market. The Japanese new vehicle market is bracing for a sharp fall next year, after some of the government's green-car incentive programmes finished this year. Japanese automakers have been shifting production and sales overseas, particularly to rising Asian markets, as younger Japanese consumers avoid car purchases due to the high costs of fuel, maintenance and tax.
