Audi aims for 55% growth in India during FY 2009-10
Audi has announced that it expects its sales in India to grow by around 55% during the current fiscal. The German carmaker, which expects to sell around 1,500 cars in India during FY 2009-10, is bullish on sustained growth in the Indian market, despite sales slowing down in Europe and other markets where Audi is present.
In a move aimed at boosting brand awareness, Audi recently inaugurated its first 'terminal showroom' in the country, in Kochi, Kerala. This is similar to Audi's terminal showrooms in Tokyo, Geneva, Sydney and Munich. Also, in addition to its existing outlets at Ludhiana, Chennai and Delhi, the company plans to add more dealerships in India by the end of this year.
