Audi Q3 will be launched in 2011

Last year saw the launch of Audi Q5, that looks like a little brother of the bigger Q7. Today Audi released some details about the upcoming Q3, that will join the "Q" family in 2011. Around the same time we should also see the small city car A1. Audi Q1 production site will be in Martorell, Spain near the SEAT site.

You can't read about it in the press release, but the Seat workers at the Martorell plant accepted a two-year pay freeze to secure production of the Q3. Seat sales are down and the production of Q3 there will safeguard around 1,500 jobs.

Audi plans an annual production of 80,000 units and will invest around €300 million. Q3 will be a coupé-like five-door SUV with characteristic of a typical SUV. According to Audi, the Audi Q3 will stand out thanks to a supremely sporty driving experience.
