Ford to launch its small car for India in 2010
Ford will be launching its brand-new small car for India by early-2010. In the meanwhile, the company will release updated versions of the Ikon , Fusion and Endeavour next month, and also launch the all-new Fiesta in India.
The Ford small car for India will be fitted with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and will not be more than 4m long, to avoid getting into the higher taxation segment. While Ford wants to build its presence in most car segments in India over the next two years, it also wants to increase its focus on smaller, more fuel efficient cars.
