HMIL sales go up by 57.5% in August
Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has reported a cumulative sales growth of 57.5 percent for the month of August 2008. HMIL's total sales for the month of August 2008 stood at 44,710 units, of which the domestic market accounted for 21,610 units, and exports amounted to 23,100 units.
The cumulative sales for August 2007 had been 28,394 units, with domestic sales at 16,138 units and exports at 12,256 units. As compared to August 2007, domestic sales grew by 33.9 percent in August 2008 while exports grew 88.5 percent, with the cumulative growth being 57.5 percent.
