Honda Siel Slashes Prices
Honda Siel Cars have slashed prices of its models by up to Rs. 31000 in response to the government's move to cut CENVAT by four percent. Mr. M. Takedagawa, President & CEO, Honda Siel Cars India, commented, "We welcome this move by the government. The reduction in duty will give the necessary boost to consumer demand. We feel it will also arrest the negative growth in the automobile sector."
The company has not reduced prices of its SUV, Honda CR-V but the City is cheaper by Rs. 19000 to Rs. 21000. The new cost for Civic is lesser by Rs. 29,000 - Rs. 31,000 and the top end sedan, Accord , is cheaper between Rs. 27,000 and Rs. 28,000.
