New Honda City launched in Mumbai
Premium carmaker Honda Siel Cars India launched the third generation model of its popular sedan 'City' here on Wednesday. Priced between Rs.815,000 and Rs.942,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), the new model comes with 1.5-litre, four cylinder new i-VTEC engine in three different versions with automatic and manual transmissions.
Honda president and chief executive Masahiro Takedagawa said Honda City was one of the most successful car brands in the Asian markets. "With this launch, India will become the largest market for Honda City," he added. Prior to its launch in Mumbai, the new City model was introduced in Thailand and Delhi.
The third-generation City, to be available in six colours, comes with two-plus-two years' warranty. With the introduction of the new machine, the parent company will put brakes on the second generation of Honda City, currently on the Indian roads.
