Hyundai’s domestic sales up by 23.89%
Hyundai India has reported a 23.89% jump in its domestic passenger car sales, at 22,311 units during September 2008, as against 18,009 units in the same month last year.
The company's cumulative sales (including exports) during September were up by 67.98% at 46,222 units, compared with 27,517 units in the year-ago period. HMIL's exports for September '08 rose by over two-fold to 23,911 units, against 9,508 units during the same month last year.
Hyundai sold 39,899 units of the Santro , Getz Prime and i10 hatchbacks, 6,305 units of the Accent and Verna sedans, 14 units of the Sonata Embera luxury sedan and four units of the Tucson SUV, in September 2008, in the domestic market.
