Mahindra Launch CNG Variants of the Logan

The 1.4 GLE and GLX variants of the Mahindra Logan now come with an optional factory-fitted CNG kit made by an Italian firm, called Landi Renzo, and are supplied and fitted by Logicon Alternate Fuels. Mahindra claim a fuel efficiency of 15-20 kilometer/kilogram of CNG which translates into a per km running cost of Rs 1.62-2.62 against Rs 3.93-6.11 with petrol. However, these kits cost an additional Rs 56,000. The cylinders are installed in the boot and have a capacity of 12 kilogram, of which 9.5 kilogram is usable. The CNG variants are low on harmful exhaust emission and have the standard warranty of 2 years/50,000 km from Mahindra.
