1 Maruti Swift anytime before the end of 2011. Now that is almost a year away and that definitely isn’t something a lot of people who have been keenly waiting for the 2011 Swift would want to hear. But here’s something that would cheer Swift fans in India. Maruti Suzuki is setting up to shift Maruti Swift production to it’s Manesar plant, which going forward, could decrease the long and frustrating waiting period prospective Swift buyers face currently.
Along with shifting of the Swift’s production to Manesar, the production of the Maruti Suzuki DZire too would be reoriented to Maruti’s Gurgaon manufacturing unit in a bid to reduce the waiting periods. While all this certainly is good news on the waiting period front, we at ICB, strongly feel that Maruti should hasten the arrival of the 2011 Swift as that is one car that a lot of people are really interested to have a test drive in. Meanwhile the 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift is estimated to usher in newer engine options in both petrol and diesel versions along with more interior space and an automatic transmission as an option.
