Mercedes Benz to Launch C-Class Corporate Edition

Mercedes India is planning to launch a new C-Class corporate edition in the Indian market. It will be a stripped down version of current C-class model. It will be BlueEfficiency model featuring low emission norms, better fuel efficiency delivering 170bhp with 400Nm. The interiors will have a single CD changer, Artico Man Made Leather and on the exteriors there will be 7-spoke 16" Alloy wheels. The model will be missing a number of features, viz. sunroof, xenon headlamps, LED turn indicators, anti-theft package, parametric and multi-functional steering wheel, parktronics, mobile pre-installation and gear selector in leather cover.

The new model comes as a plan to expand in the emerging markets to lure more customers to buy premium cars. Mercedes-Benz India kick started the StarDrive program offering first of its kind driving experience program in the country. "Mercedes-Benz StarDrive Experience is aimed to give our customer and participants an one of its kind opportunity to personally experience the unmatched safety technology of our cars besides offering them an opportunity to further hone their driving skills," said Debashish Mitra, director, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India.
