Micra diesel to be launched in 2nd week of Dec
Nissan India will be launching the diesel version of Micra in India in the 2nd week of December. “India will be the first country to have the 1500cc K9K diesel version of Micra hatchback with intelligent key, immobilizer, a push-button engine start-stop system and electric foldable mirror,” Nissan India chief executive Kiminobu Tokuyama told reporters here.

The company rolled out the petrol variant of Nissan Micra in July and sold about 5,000 vehicles during the last 4-5 months. To be positioned in the B+ segment and priced at Rs.560,000-620,000, the Micra diesel will be powered with the 1500cc common rail direct injection, mounted on Nissan’s V platform which generates maximum power of 65 Bhp @ 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 160 Nm @ 2000 rpm.
