Skoda Auto India November Sales up 29%
Skoda Auto India, a fully owned subsidiary of Skoda Auto a.s., Czech Republic and one of the most promising automobile companies in India today announced a sales growth of 29% for the month of November 2010. Skoda Auto India’s total sales for November 2010 stood at an impressive 1841 units as against 1425 units in November 2009. Skoda India has registered impressive growth in this year riding on the success of the two new launches; the new Skoda Fabia and Skoda Yeti.
Speaking on the occasion Thomas Kuehl, Director & Board Member, Sales and Marketing, Skoda Auto India said “I am extremely delighted with Skoda Auto’s continuing growth as we gear up for the exciting period ahead. We are pleased with the overwhelming response we have received with the introduction of our two new cars in the Skoda lineage in India; the New Skoda Fabia and Skoda Yeti. The bookings of both these cars have been extremely encouraging. We are confident that these new additions by Skoda Auto will create more zeal and excitement for the customers”.

Over the years Skoda Auto India has successfully established a well knit dealer network which has enabled us to cater to the ever growing demand for the Skoda cars. We have now expanded our network to 66 dealerships and a total of 7 boutique showrooms with the recent opening of Skoda’s first boutique showroom; Torque Automotive Pvt. Ltd. in Gujarat. We are confident to see a further boost in our sales owing to our latest offerings; New Skoda Fabia and Skoda Yeti, which are available across all our dealership showrooms”.
SkodaAuto achieved another milestone with the roll out of the 1,00,001st car from its plant at Aurangabad. The fact that the 1,00,001st car was a Skoda Yeti, one of Skoda’s recent launches, makes it an even more special event. The occasion was graced by H E Mr Miloslav Stasek, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in India, and Mr Stackmann,- the Board Member for Sales and Marketing at SkodaAuto a.s. and Chairman of SkodaAuto India.
