Skoda unveils revamped Octavia
Skoda Auto has unveiled the facelifted Octavia (sold as the Laura in India) at the ongoing Paris Motor Show. 'The Octavia has always had a special position among Skoda vehicles. It is our most successful model, very popular worldwide. Now it has gone through a complete transformation that is apparent in the new interior and exterior, as well as the applied technology,' says Dr Eckhard Scholz, the Board Member responsible for technological development.
Key enhancements on the revamped Skoda Octavia/Laura include newly shaped headlamps and radiator grille, and a one-piece bumper, at the front. New taillamp covers, and a dynamic bumper with integrated cat eyes, freshen up the rear end styling.
The car's interiors have also been redone, with revised audio and navigation systems, new steering wheel, redesigned air-conditioning controls, adaptive xenon headlamps and new, more upmarket upholstery fabrics.
