SkodaAuto India achieves record sales growth
Skoda India today announced that the company achieved record sales of 16188 units in the year 2008. With this figure Skoda India registered 28.5 % growth in sales as compared to 12596 units sold in 2007. The Super Hatch Fabia proved to be the hottest selling hatch in India with sales figure of 6634 units since its launch in January '08. The sales figure shows the success Škoda has achieved so far with the car.
Commenting on the sales figures, Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Board Member, Sales and Marketing, Skoda Auto India said, "Though the year 2008 was a challenging year for the auto industry, Skoda India succeeded in growing by putting the customers demand on the forefront, particularly with the launch of the Super Hatch Fabia. Our current models are drawing a very positive customer response and we have some great new products coming in the New Year that will keep our momentum going."
