2011 New Audi A8 Launched in India

Today Audi, unveiled new A8 in Indian market. Audi launched the A8 at the biggest luxury car showroom in New Delhi. Audi New Delhi was inaugurated on this occasion. Initially Audi cars India is offering petrol powered V8 which generates 372 bhp. It is available in the long wheelbase variant of the standard Audi A8 and the 500 bhp 6000cc W12 will also be available later. Audi A8L 3.0 turbo diesel and Audi A8L W12 to be commenced in March and July this year respectively. New A8L 4200cc petrol will be available for 8900000 rupees (Ex-showroom Delhi). The new flagship model demonstrates the company's slogan Vorsprung durch Technik as New Audi A8 features light aluminum body, its highly efficient engines and powerful, the further improved MMI OS, driver assistance systems, the complete LED headlights and a graceful interior with high level of workmanship. With this technology the new A8 offers the perfect combination of dynamics, design perfection, pioneering efficiency and workmanship.

Audi Opens India’s Largest Luxury Showroom

Audi India yesterday opened a band service facility and new sales on Mathura Road, New Delhi. this is the biggest high-end vehicle showroom in the country. Michael Perschke inaugurated Audi's New Delhi showroom who is MD of Audi cars India. John Abraham was also present at the time of Audi A8's launch. The new thirty-thousand sq. ft. showroom can accommodate twenty cars and the total facility is based on typical Audi Terminal concept. Audi manufacturers  also include facility which can service twenty-five Audi's car per day on an entire of sixteen bays. Audi cars India will increase national footprint to eighteen locations in this year. New Audi A8L will complete with the likes of BMW 7 Series, Mercedes S-Class and Volkswagen Phaeton. The base model of Audi A8 is powered by 4.2L, petrol engine and it has been priced at rs. 89 lakh ex-showroom delhi. New Audi A8 Diesel is expected to be launched in India by april 2011.

Suzuki India to Launch GW250 in April 2011

Suzuki bikes manufacturers are going to unveil the Suzuki GW250 in indian market in upcoming days. The bike with muscular line and an imposing stance will have street presence to dominate the Kawasaki Ninja and Honda CBR250R. On the front performance, the Suzuki GW250 will come furnished with a 250cc four stroke liquid cooled engine which generates maximum power of 26 bhp 8500 rpm and 24Nm of utmost torque at 7000 rpm while the power of Suzuki GW250 is in the league of  CBR250R, the maximum torque is less.

The weight of the Suzuki GW250 is more than the Honda CBR250 with those chunky side panels. No official announcement has been made by the company but we anticipate competitive pricing from Suzuki Bikes, and expect that the GW250 should retail with a worth tag of 1.6 to 1.8 lakh rupees. The Suzuki GW250 would be a worthy challenger to the Honda bikes 250 at that cost point.

Ford India to Export Figo

Ford Motor India will have another big year. The Ford Motor auxiliary plans Figo exports to approximately 48 countries or cities, including Africa, Middle East and South America. Last year saw Ford exports 7000 Figo cars to sell the South Africa. Now, Nepal also can option the Ford Figo. Ford cars India is concentrating on exporting to European countries. Ford Motors India hopes to sell 100000 cars in this year at the home front. The idea is to attain a 50% increase rate to consolidate its rank in the Indian market, after creating a record by selling around by 83,887 cars in last year. Kerala has been big markets as Ford sold 1500 Figo cars in hundred days from unveil. Thereafter, Ford managed to sell an entire number or cars approximately 4,000 in this year. If things as per their planning, the Indian market would have 8 latest vehicles to choose from the Ford Motors India stable.

Hero Honda Launches New Karizma R

Hero Honda India has unveiled the 2011 model of New Hero Honda Karizma R which features new, clear lens turn indicators, graphics, black theme for engine and redesigned engine cowl. Other than these modifications 2011 New Karizma R is similar in conditions of engine power and technology. New Hero Honda Karizma R looks very modish with black mag alloy wheel, double light tailpiece, new fairing, clear lens front indicators, stepped up seat, silencer unit and panel shapes. The fairing isn't a complete which is seen on sport motorcycles but it gels very well with overall design of the bike. Finally Ferrari is Coming to India

Ferrari is ultimately coming to India and will unveil its complete series of sports vehicles in April 2011. Ferrari India has link-up with the Shreyans as its sole distributer for India with a contrive to 1st showroom in New Delhi followed by Mumbai. Ferrari's decision to cooperator with Shreyans Groups comes as a surprise specially since Tata Motors India was awaited to be the retail cooperator of the legendary car manufacturer, given its bond with Fiat.

However, Ferrari India has decided to enter in India via Shreyans Group which contract in high-end goods, to set up its network in Indian market. Shreyans Group is also the exclusive distributor for Porsche in Indian market and until recently, Audi cars dealers in Mumbai as well. With the super high-end car market in India prospering and the first Indian Grand Prix 2011, Ferrari could not have timed its low-end into India better. Expected cars to be launched are 458 Italia and the forthcoming 4 seater  Ferrari FF and it is speculated to find a substantial number of consumers in India & it is anticipated that ferrari will be able to sell its super cars in good numbers.

Maruti Faces By 18 percent Loss For Quater three

The conclusion of the 2010 calendar last year for Maruti India is not a good one during the quater 3 when its gross profit faced a fall down by 18 percent. This came in spite of its supremacy in the automobile marketplace & the increased input costs. Maruti Suzuki Launches Kizashi

Market leader Maruti Suzuki India today launched its luxury sedan Kizashi. The car would be available in 2 variants: the manual variant will cost Rs. 16.5 lakh and the automatic version has been priced higher at Rs. 17.5 lakh (ex-showroom) in Delhi. There was a lot of expectation over the pricing of the car since Maruti will import the Kizashi from parent Suzuki's facility in Japan. Maruti Kizashi is powered by a 2400cc litre petrol engine that will churn out 185 bhp of power. Kizashi will compete with Toyota Camry and Honda Accord at the upper end and Honda Civic, Volkswagen Jetta and Toyota Corolla at the lower end. These vehicles are priced between Rs. 12 to 20 lakh.

   


As per industry estimates, the size of the luxury car segment in the country is over 55,000 units per year. Maruti currently commands nearly 50% of the total Indian car market which was at 1.87 million units in 2010. Maruti India has been trying to get into the bigger car segment for some time now. Its 1st attempt with Baleno did not meet with much success but the company was able to make a mark with the mid-sized sedan Maruti SX4 in 2007.

Ford Figo Bags 20 Awards

Between December and January, Ford India and its popular sub-compact car Ford Figo, together lifted 20 Awards in 2010, making Figo the most awarded passenger car in the country. Ford topped up the three 'Car of the Year' titles with the impressive 'Manufacturer of the Year', from a leading, jointly held broadcast and print media house. The definitively popular compact car's laurel journey began with the Indian Cars of the Year 2011' award – measured the most revered car industry award in India. Ford Figo has the largest boot in its segment but is not proving huge enough to hold all the trophies that the car has recently won.


These precious honours have come from across the automotive media industry which runs across print, web-based and broadcast mediums. They soon became infectious and garnered tremendous fame for the brand, building serious recognition and acknowledgement of the Figo's class leading attributes such as space and aesthetic design, best-in-class technology features, fuel efficient powertrains and value for money substantial package - all incorporated to address discerning consumers practical as well as lifestyle needs. Michael Boneham, president and managing director, Ford India said, We always believed that Ford Figo would be our game changer but this car has performed beyond expectations. Ford India saw a favourable enlargement across nameplates with the Fiesta, Ikon and the Endeavour faring well in their respective segments in the year 2010, the company sold 83,887 units and nearly tripled it sales volume against a sum of 29,488 cars sold in 2009.
