New Honda Civic Concept Revealed at Detroit 2011!

Honda unrevealed this pair of Civic Concepts at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, which will preview the Honda Civic Saloon and Civic Coupe for the 2012 variant year in the US. Although these Sedan and Coupe cars have the word Concept tagged onto their names, I feel they are pretty much close to production. Honda has not given it all away though – no interior photos have been unveiled except for one small sketch they showed for a brief moment during the press conference. The formula actually looks very much the same with this new Honda Civic as compared to the outgoing 8th generation model. I would not be surprised if much of the underpinnings of this new 9th generation Civic is similar to the 8th generation. The saloon’s side profile looks more alike to the outgoing variants, but the coupe takes on a more aggressive side profile that takes after its older Honda Accord Coupe sibling.

The Civic Sedan’s front end looks similar to the 8th gen but the back end gets a lot of work done to it – it is the part of the car that has changed the most and looks the best. The interior has not been revealed yet but will feature the same double-stacked displays in the current Civic. In the US, the Honda Civic will be available in various forms – the sporty high revving Si models, the natural gas powered GX, the regular Civics as well as a Civic Hybrid. The Hybrid variant will nonstop to use Honda’s IMA system but will feature lithium ion batteries along with the newest revision of the system. Eco Assist wont only be limited to the Hybrid but will also be a feature on the regular gasoline-only variants. Eco Assist is essentially an on-board fuel efficiency display and feedback system planned to educate the driver on how to drive more efficiently. It looks like Honda has not messed around with the formula of the current Honda Civic much but I hope the updates to the looks come together with improvements under the skin as well – you can never go wrong with more reliability, fuel efficiency, features and safety. Unfortunately we can not really tell from these concepts as they only show the external aesthetics of the new car.

Ducati’s new Facility to be set in Thailand

Ducati, the ever faultless name in the sports bike segment is all prepared with its new manufacturing facility in Thailand. As per latest information received, it is known that the Bologna Bullets for Southeast Asian countries are to be developed at this new facility set by Ducati. absolutely the union workforce of the company is a bit worried taking their job being shipped overseas. The company has already made it clear that the new factory established in Thailand is to produce motor bikes for the rising economies like that of India, China and other South East Asian countries.

The basic cause behind the famous company to set up this new facility is to compete with existing manufacturers like those of Honda, Yamaha, KTM, Harley Davidson and Brembo in a better way. It is also expected of the company to lower down prices for its all efficient and astonishing motor bikes with the setting up of this new facility. The companies these days with a view to increase their tariff with products are running towards setting up assembly plants locally that helps them with the same. Some of the company's ever famous Sports Bikes are Ducati Monster, Ducati Streetfighter, Ducati Superbike and Ducati Sports Classic. Ducati also is to approach the Indian markets soon with its recently designed Ducati Diavel.

Honda Fit Shuttle Leaked – Jazz Wagon is The New Airwave!

Some of you might know the Honda Airwave, a wagon version of the Jazz and City brought in by grey importers. That compact station wagon (as it was called by Honda) was launched to the Japanese market in 2005 and was based on the previous generation Honda Jazz, so with the B-segment hatchback being replaced, a “new Airwave” was expected. Well, here it is, with a new name. These leaked brochures show an elongated version of the Jazz, which is called Fit in its home market. The Fit Shuttle won’t be mistaken as a spin off from any other model, as it retains much of the Jazz’s distinctive looks, both front and back. The forward leaning “fin” (the C-pillars) from the Airwave have become full length items, and is the most glaring design cue on the flanks.

The brochures show two variants – a 1500cc i-VTEC powered Type 15X and a Hybrid model. The latter’s drivetrain combines a 1.3L engine with Honda’s battery powered IMA system, which should be identical to that in the Jazz Hybrid and Insight. Those flat wheelcaps look as if they are chosen for aerodynamics, not aesthetics. The dashboard is similar to the Honda Jazz. No mention on whether the boot space with all five seats in place beats the Airwave’s 473 litres.

Yamaha and Fiat departed

The 4 year old relationship of Yamaha Motors and Fiat- for Yamaha MotoGP racing - has ,finally, come to an end that experienced a revive at Yamaha's MotoGP campaign by hammering Honda and Ducati. The split was already expected and is now proven by the two companies. Fiat today maintaining its words for No Italian Rider and No Money Policy departed from team Yamaha Racing of the year 2011 MotoGP circuit. Yamaha Motors have been the ever well-known name in the racing circuit and this departion of the corporation with Fiat is not to adversely affect its Yamaha's MotoGP performance.

Yamaha is to currently remain without a title sponsor in the premier class of MotoGP Championship. As per information, it is known that the tobacco company Marlboro is to resolutely remain entrenched as the principal sponsor of the Ducati MotoGP team for entire session of 2011 MotoGP and thus would dash many Italian fan's dream combination of Rossi-Ducati and Fiat.

Honda Bikes Sales up By 20% in December 2010

HMSI, the countries number 4th two wheeler giant added 20% sales growth in at 140642 units in the month of December 2010 as compared to same month of year 2010. After separation between Hero-Honda, HMSI is reporting good growth in the sales figures. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is 100% subsidiary of Japan based Honda Motors and ready to grab the Indian 2 wheeler market with its latest and most advanced technology loaded vehicles. The company is selling bikes and scooters in India and at the same time exporting vehicles to other countries. The company sold 53821 units of bikes and 76263 units of scooters in the domestic market while 10558 units has been exported to other countries in the month of the December 2010.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is doing well in Indian market and want to get good position so it is planning to launch new bikes and scooters. The Honda is getting booking orders for Honda CBR 250R which is the first Antilock Braking System loaded entry-level sports bike in India. On the other hand, Honda's bikes are continuously earning bike of year awards such as Honda CB Twister won the award of 2010 bike of the year; before it Honda CBF Stunner was the bike of year 2009. The Honda Activa is seating on the top of the scooters sales which always be in waiting period. It is expected that after the split between Hero and Honda, HMSI might lead the Indian 2 wheeler market with its low-cost model that is believed to come here very soon.

American Honda has notified 2.2 million customers

It sounds bad, but perhaps it’s not as bad as it could have been: American Honda has notified 2.2 million customers that a catalog including e-mail addresses, VINs and login information has been stolen by unknown hackers. Company officials say the list didn’t include Social Security numbers, birthdates, bank information or other information that would leave people vulnerable to identity theft. The Columbus, Ohio, Dispatch reported that the list belonged to an outside vendor who was using it to send “welcome” e-mail messages to clients with OwnerLink or MyAcura accounts. Reportedly, 2.7 million Acura owners were on a separate list that was also stolen, but that one had only e-mail addresses on it. American Honda contacted its customers to say sorry and remind them about the possibility that fake e-mail could come to them asking for private information. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the bookings of Honda CBR 250R and it will start from January 1st, 2010. The bike will be available in two variants such as ABS and non-ABS; the former might be priced at Rs 1.8 lakh and the latter will have a price tag of Rs 1.5 lakh. The bike will be loaded with ABS and CBS (a front and rear wheel interlocking braking system) that make it different and advanced than other same segment bikes in India. The Kawasaki Ninja 250r is the direct competitor of the bike that does not have ABS. Honda CBR 250R has already been launched in overseas market such as Thailand and is getting good response from that market.
