Mahindra Xylo D2 Launched

Mahindra India has launched the Xylo D2 , a new variant of its best selling Xylo. Equipped with a new 2.5 litre mDI CRDe engine, the XYLO D2 offers excellent power and torque and a high level of fuel efficiency at 13 kmpl. The XYLO D2 is available at an attractive price of Rs. 6,30,300 lakh (Ex-showroom New Delhi).

"The XYLO D2's mDI CRDe engine offers the best of both DI and CRDe technology. This includes greater fuel efficiency, lower maintenance and spare parts cost and decreased emissions and NVH levels. These advantages coupled with more power and torque and the XYLO's value proposition of space and comfort, make the D2 ideal for long journeys," said Mr. Vivek Nayer, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. At the heart of the XYLO D2 is the mDI CRDe engine which combines the benefits of both DI and CRDe technology. These include enhanced fuel efficiency, decreased maintenance and spares costs and lower emissions and NVH levels. This technologically superior engine complies with BS 3 emission norms and delivers a power-packed 95 bhp with 22 kilogram meter torque over a range of 1400 to 2600 rpm. The 2.5 litre engine is meshed with a five-speed manual gearbox and has been built on the Scorpio NEF CRDe engine family with relevant technological advancements.

When a burst of power is needed, the top mounted intercooler delivers. Dual pilot injection increases the XYLO's drivability scores, while advanced engine damping, hydraulic lash adjustor technology and auto tensioner ensure minimum service frequency and a pleasurable drive. On a long drive, you can zip down the straights with the long wheelbase and multi-link suspension keeping the XYLO composed and rock steady. The vehicle also tackles sharp bends effortlessly and skirts bumps with ease. The XYLO's value proposition of style, space and comfort continues with the D2 variant. Surround cool dual AC ensures that each passenger has a comfortable journey. Spacious third row seating allows you to stretch your legs, while a height adjustable driver's seat makes the ride even more pleasant. Power steering ensures greater ease while driving and power windows allow you to roll down the windows at the mere touch of a button. An engine immobilizer ensures that the vehicle does not start without the right key, making this stylish Sedan Plus theft-proof.

Sleek contours coupled with structured edges and the signature Mahindra front grille give the XYLO the sophistication of a sedan and the aggressive stance of an SUV. Integrated bumpers, chunky alloy wheels and strong curves on the bonnet and fenders add to the car's stature. Body side cladding with chrome rails and rear lamp clusters with well defined edges add oodles of panache to the car's design. Stylish clear lens headlamps add to the car's cool quotient. New Toyota Prado Diesel Launched

Toyota India has announced the launch of the New Prado Diesel in India. Inheriting the Land Cruiser's DNA, the basic concept for the new Toyota Prado is based on the design philosophy which aims to create an exterior with the active feel expected of a four wheel drive and an interior that is refined and roomy. Specific improvements include a 3.0L Diesel engine, and the adoption of a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) that allows driving stability at city and highway speeds. The new Prado diesel cane be booked right away at a price of Rs. 52.74 lakhs (ex-Showroom, Bangalore).

The 2010 Prado also features enhanced comfort features like 3-Zone Automatic Climate Control, Optitron Meter, Multi-information Display, Parking Assist System with front/rear sensors & rear camera and rich leather interiors. A host of Driver Assist Technology such as DAC (Down-hill Assist Control), HAC (Hill-start Assist Control), VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) and A-TRC (Adaptive Traction Control) aid in outstanding off-road performance. The new Prado is available in five colours - White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic, Greyish Blue Metallic and Black.

New 2010 Yamaha R1 Launched in India

Yamaha India has launched the New Yamaha R1 in India. Yamaha had first launched the R1 in India back in 2007 and the bike had been a huge hit with motorcycle enthusiasts in the country. 'While the market for superbikes in India is still limited, consumer response to our previously launched YZF-R1, MT01 and VMAX bikes has been overwhelming. The new R1's launch signifies our successful brand transformation efforts in India,' said Yukimine Tsuji, CEO and MD, IYM.

With its four-cylinder, 998cc engine that produces about 179 Bhp, Yamaha R1 is widely considered to be one of the best superbikes in the world. This phenomenal machine is priced at Rs 12.50 lakh in India and will be available at 24 authorized Yamaha dealerships in 13 cities. The new generation YZF-R1 is more closely linked to our MotoGP winning M1 than ever before. In 2008, Yamaha's YZF-R1 reached the 10-year anniversary of its introduction. In 1998 the 150-horsepower R1 was nothing less than revolution.

New Tata Sumo Grande MK II Launched

Mumbai, December 14, 2009: Tata Motors today announced the launch of Sumo Grande MK II , an upgraded version of its premium Sumo offering in the domestic market. The Grande MK II seeks to deliver added value to customers through substantial changes in the exteriors and interiors combined with improvements in drivability, ride and handling and comfort. The Grande MK II carries forward the class leading features of the earlier version such as best in class third row seats and lowest turning circle radius of 5.25 m in the category, in addition to having one of the best fuel efficiencies in its class. Dual HVAC with roof integrated louvers, motorised ORVMs, height adjustable driver's seat and a state of the art CD/MP3 music system are some of the other features Grande MK II continues to sport. The vehicle is powered by the new generation 2.2 litre DICOR engine fitted with a variable geometry turbocharger which delivers maximum power and torque of 120 PS and 250 Nm respectively.

The Grande MK II will be available in 3 variants - top of the line Gx, Ex, and Lx with a seating capacity ranging between 7 and 9 seats in front and side facing configurations. The vehicle will be available in three new colours, Walnut Gold, Platinum Beige and Castle Grey. The Grande MK II is priced in the range of Rs. 6.43 lakhs to Rs. 7.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes with a warranty of 2 years or 75,000 kms (whichever is earlier). An additional 2 years' warranty can be availed through the extended warranty option. Customers would be able to accessorise the Grande MK II with a host of accessories available at dealerships across the country.

Honda CB Twister Launched – 3 Variants On Offer

A day after the launch of Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS , Honda India has launched the much talked about new 110cc bike - The "CB Twister". Previously it was expected to be launched at the Auto Expo 2010. The bike looks very sporty and aggressive in terms of looks and styling. It seems the designers had high end super bikes of Honda while designing the CB Twister.

Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS Launched - Ex-Showroom Price Is Rs. 51000.00

Bajaj India has launched the much awaited New Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS . As per the speculations made Pulsar 135 features the same headlight as seen in the XCD Sprint Concept shown at the Auto Expo, 2008 in New Delhi. Bajaj had recently launched the updated versions of Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 & Pulsar 220.

Also the Pulsar 200 was discontinued recently, so the main reason of launching Pulsar 135 is that they want to eat into the sales of Honda CBF Stunner. Pulsar 135 has been launched with a price tag of Rs. 51000.00 (Ex-Showroom) which is very reasonable in comparison to the features on offer and also the 135cc engine is more powerful in comparison to the engine of XCD 135.

After the huge success of recently launched Apache RTR 180 & Flame SR125, TVS India is has launched all new scooterette - TVS Wego . It has been launched with a price tag of 41,000 (Ex-Showroom). It is powered by a new 110cc engine which also powers the TVS Jive . The 110cc engine generates maximum power of 8.4 Bhp at 7500 rpm with 8 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. TVS has good experience in manufacturing scooterettes with automatic trasmission as they are selling TVS Scooty n good numbers.

After the huge success of recently launched Apache RTR 180 & Flame SR125, TVS India is has tapped the market of clutchless bikes with the launch of TVS Jive . It has been launched with a price tag of 42,500 (Ex-Showroom). Jive comes with with 4-speed transmission but features an handfree gearshift and It comes with Tmatic technology. TVS Jive comes with gear Indicator and underseat space (bottle,umbrella and document). It is powered by a new 110cc engine which also powers the TVS Wego .

The 110cc engine generates maximum power of 8.4 Bhp at 7500 rpm with 8.3 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. TVS has good experiance in manufacturing bikes with automatic clutch as they are selling TVS Neo in Indonesia and it is selling in good numbers.
