Tata Motors To Launch Limited Edition Indigo CS
In a bid to spice things up for the worlds cheapest sedan, Tata Motors will launch a Limited Edition variant of the of Indigo CS this festive season. The Tata Indigo CS Limited Edition will get new headlamps with blinkers, turn indicators on rear view mirrors, new wooden finish centre console, leather wrapped steering wheel, new door handle caps, sport pedals and six way power electric seats. The limited edition variant will be available in Procelain White with dark chrome coloured badges which seems quite similar to the Limited Edition Indica Vista.

BMW 7 Series Petrol in India by Year End
BMW India is planning to launch the petrol version of its high-end 7-series by the end of 2009. The cost and other details of the petrol version are still not known. But the car is expected to be priced less than its diesel variant that has been already launched in India, which is priced at Rs 93 lakh, excluding other taxes. Like many other models of BMW, the 7 series petrol is also expected to be imported as a CBU.
The company has more expansion plans in India. BMW has announced the launch of its two-seater roadster, Z4, in October on the eve of Diwali, which will be priced between Rs 50 and 60 lakh. Another model from the manufacturer, details of which are not available, will be unveiled at the 2010 Auto Expo that will be held in January. The company is also planning to increase the capacity of its plant.
"If the market grows, we are ready to ramp up production and will consider further investment. At present, our capacity is sufficient to meet the demand till next year. As the trend indicates, we will be able to sell 3,000 units of 3-Series and 5-Series cars in 2010. After that we will have to consider capacity expansion," said Peter Kronschnabl, President of BMW India.

Special Edition C-Class Launched
Mercedes-Benz India, the German luxury carmaker, has launched its special edition C-Class model in the country. "The C-Class has been the star of young achievers and dynamic individuals whose lifestyles are a celebration of aspiration, ambition and drive," said Wilfried Aulbur, company's Managing Director and CEO.
Mercedes-Benz will produce only 60 limited edition C-Class models in order to maintain its exclusivity. The company will be launching both the petrol as well as the diesel version of the model and the special edition C-Class model will be priced between Rs 28.46 lakh and Rs 31.30 lakh.
Mercedes-Benz was once the largest luxury car manufacturer of the country now it has been pushed behind by BMW. The company has tough competition from many other luxury car manufacturers in the country too, but it is able to sustain its position among the top three luxury car manufacturers of the country and is trying to reach out to the top position it had once adorned. The company its business in the country and had announced plans to invest Rs 150 crore in network expansion in the country earlier this week.

Hyundai Equus launched in China
Hyundai has launched its top-of-the-line luxury sedan - Equus - in China, where it's priced between 677,000-910,000 Yuan (Rs 48.13-64.70 lakh). A Hyundai that costs the equivalent of Rs 65 lakh?! Yes indeed, the Equus is Hyundai's intended competitor to the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series, so the price shouldn't come as a surprise…
The Equus, which is also due to be launched in the US by mid-2010, comes with a choice of 4.6-litre V8 and 3.8-litre V6 engines. The Hyundai luxo-barge was launched in South Korea in March this year and has been well received in its domestic market. The Korean company is hoping its luxury car will do equally well elsewhere in Asia and in the US. In India, however, Hyundai's bigger cars simply haven't worked and the Equus isn't likely to be launched here in the foreseeable future.

Honda Civic Si Launched in the UK
Japanese manufacturer Honda today launched in the UK a new version of the Civic that comprises a series of sporty upgrades over the stock models. Codenamed Si, the new Civic is only available for the five-door version of the car but can be ordered with any of the available engine configurations.
According to autocar.co.uk, highlights of the new Civic Si include color-coded bumpers, front foglights, a Type R-style mesh grille, dark chrome door handles and fuel cap. Additionally, there are also a number of features available depending on the engine configuration you choose.

For example, the 16-inch graphite-colored alloy wheels are only available for the 1.4-liter option while the 17-inch dark rims come with 1.8-liter petrol and 2.2-liter diesel versions. However, all versions get half-leather upholster and iPod connectivity, the aforementioned source wrote.
As for pricing, the Si badge isn't too expensive when compared to the standard models. All version cost only 850 pounds (approximately 1,000 euros) over the base price of the stock models. The Si version is expected to go on sale later this year.
The five-door Honda Civic is offered in a choice of three engines, as it follows: 1.4i, 1.8i and 2.2 i-CDT. Both the 1.8i and the 2.2 i-CDT have the same output, 140 horsepower respectively, but the gasoline version pushes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and helps it achieve a maximum speed of 127.4 mph (205 km/h). As for fuel consumption, the gasoline unit burns 8.2 liters of gasoline every 100 km (28.7 mpg) in city conditions.

Skoda To Launch Laura RS
After the successful launch of the new Skoda Laura and Skoda Superb, Skoda India is readying the launch of the new Laura RS. The RS will possibly be available in two variants - 2.0L TSI petrol with 200PS and 2.0L TDI diesel with 170PS. The Laura RS interior and exterior will be slightly different from the regular Laura, with the emphasis on sporty design. With lower drag coefficient, better aerodynamics, sports suspension and a new sporty body kit, the Laura RS show matches its go.

The Laura RS will be available after the launch of the Skoda Yeti SUV. The Skoda Yeti is scheduled to be launched by the end of this year. Skoda will soon be showcassing the RS in cities such as Mumbai and Delhi to gauge customer response. If the Octavia RS is anything to go by, than the Skoda Laura RS will be an absoulte hoot to drive.
