Indian Auto Makers Foray in the American Market
The American auto market is getting ready to face yet another challenge. This time it is the car makers from India who are ready to set their foot in the world's biggest auto market. The three big car makers are already reeling under the pressures from falling sales, absence of credit and the meltdown of economy.
Indian auto makers on the other hand have hired their top homegrown engineers and set up world-class research and development teams. They are making sure that their entrance in the US market is taken very seriously and quite confident that they can compete globally.
Mahindra is planning to launch its SUVs and pickup trucks in the US. It is planning to launch its looking to place its SUV, Mahindra Scorpio , on the American roads. It aims at the Jeep which is already facing tough times in the domestic market. Another Indian company, Krishna Maruti, is planning to supply seats for Toledo- built Jeeps. Tata Motors also plans to make its foray in the US market next year.
