Jaguar, Land Rover looking to set up dealerships in India
Jaguar and Land Rover are interested in coming to the Indian market, and are now actively looking at setting up dealerships in India, in select cities. 'Our sales and marketing department has helped facilitate a visit by senior people from Jaguar and Land Rover. They have come, they have seen and they are putting some plan in action,' says Ravi Kant, MD, Tata Motors.
Jaguar and Land Rover are already present in countries like China and Russia, and Tata Motors believes these brands can also do well in India. 'In the current situation, I would prompt them to be in India sooner than later, because they would like to find one more avenue to sell more,' says Kant, in context of the shrinking western European market.
