Maruti Suzuki’s Sales up 15% in April 2009
Maruti Suzuki India sold a total of 71,748 vehicles (including exports of 6,891 units) in April 2009 - an increase of 15% over the 62,336 units sold during April 2008.
According to Maruti, this is the fourth consecutive month of sales crossing the 70,000 units mark. After the recently launched A-Star, Maruti may replace its aging Wagon R with Ritz or may launch it as new model. Maruti Suzuki India has decided to rename the Splash as Ritz for India.
