Same Deutz-Fahr India to invest Rs 50 crore towards capacity expansion
Tractor manufacturer, Same Deutz-Fahr India (the Indian subsidiary of Italian company, Same Deutz-Fahr), plans to invest about Rs 50 crore towards capacity expansion at its plant at Ranipet, in Tamil Nadu. By 2010, the company plans to expand capacity to 11,000 units per annum, up from the current 6,300 units per annum.
Apart from catering to the Indian market, Same Deutz-Fahr India plans to produce tractors in the 50-70HP segment, for European and North American markets. The company also plans to supply engines to genset and other industrial equipment manufacturers.
