TVS Motor’s two-wheeler sales up by 19%
TVS has reported a 19% growth in the sales of its two-wheelers in September 2008, at 137,246 units, versus 115,091 units in the year ago period.
During the month, the company's motorcycle sales went up by 32% at 71,278 units, compared to 53,991 units recorded in September last year. TVS scooters, however, showed a marginal decline, at 27,108 units, as against 27,199 units in September last year. TVS also exported 18,229 units in September this year, against 13,036 units in the corresponding period last year, an increase of almost 40%.
